Sport Inspired Multi Games Festival:

This week fifteen of our children attended the multi sports festival ran by Sport Inspired and sponsored by children in need. The games saw a range of children with physical, social and emotional needs and children that are showing a desire in leadership come together to participate in a range of sports to help build confidence, self-esteem, spatial awareness and enjoyment through physical activities. The children thoroughly enjoyed the event and had an opportunity to try sports that were unfamiliar to them. The children won three of their events in cricket, dodgeball and netball and received the team spirit award in golf and sit down volleyball. This meant that all children involved left with a medal, but more than that they left with a new sense of confidence and belief in the positive effects that sport can have on their learning. Well done to all involved!
