Amy joined the Stanley Grove team as a class teacher in 2008 having studied at Warwick University. In 2012 she became Assistant Vice Principal with responsibilities for SEN, Inclusion and Safeguarding. Her personal interest and passion for Special Educational Needs led her to complete both a MA in Inclusion and the National Award for SENCOs through Manchester Metropolitan University.

Another of Amy’s passions is bringing Mindfulness to BFET schools. Amy says that having a mindfulness practice supports her in her work. She teaches the Paws.b mindfulness curriculum at Stanley Grove and is a trainer for the Mindfulness in School Project.

Amy is proud to now be Head of School at such a unique and inspiring academy. For Amy, Stanley Grove should be a school that is at the heart of the community, giving children rich new experiences and leading research to improve outcomes for pupils. She took pride overseeing the recent refurbishments, which now provides our children and staff with fantastic new learning spaces, all weather sports facilities and engaging outdoor provision
